Passionately Kind
A Time of Celebration
Here we are, at the close of another incredible year and entering into a time of celebration and cheer. Activities need to be planned and preparations made. There are festive parties and lots and lots of shopping for those perfect gifts. On top of that, family and friends are coming to town. And if your house is like mine, it needs a special cleaning before any of them can set foot in the house.
Sometimes in our effort to get everything done and get to all of those important places, we can forget about those around us, especially the ones we don't know.
This is the perfect to time to remember that each person we see or come across is a special individual, who is loved and cherished by their friends and family, just as we are by ours. Each person is worthy of our kindness and consideration.
Be Passionately Kind
In this Christmas season, spread kindness passionately. Forget New Year's resolutions, start now! Say a kind word to a stranger you meet in a store, a checkout line. Have patience when someone is moving slowly, either walking or in a car. Maybe that slow walking person is someone with a disability. Maybe that slow moving car is bringing home a special and delicate gift.
Do something nice for someone you don't know. Slow down and relax! This is the time to reflect, to celebrate, and reconnect with friends and family. That takes kindness, consideration, and lots of love. Kindness makes you feel better and gets you into the proper spirit of the season. Put a smile on your face and the rest can take care of itself.
The song "Put a little love in your heart" says it best:
Think of your fellow man
Lend him a helping hand
Put a little love in your heart
You see it's getting late
Oh, please don't hesitate
Put a little love in your heart
And the world will be a better place
For you and me
You just wait and see
