Terrence Robertson-Fall Fine Art

Passion drives us to action.  A passionate person is living life to the fullest, breaking out from the norm and doing something wonderful.  Passion overcomes.  Passion makes you care.  Dreams fuel our passions and direct our energies.  Find your dream and make it happen!

Terrence Robertson-Fall sculpts passionate characters telling rich, animated stories.  They connect us with thoughts and emotions that are important - the love of a mother for a child, a good friend who is always happy to see you, the enjoyment of life. Terrence's art uplifts, brightens, and entertains. It might bring some happiness, bring back a memory of a wonderful time that was forgotten, or lead someone to a new wonderful possibility.

Adding fur to "Play bow"

I have started the long process of adding fur to the Cocker Spaniel.   It is very time consuming, but the curly bits of fur and especially the long curly ears are some of the defining characteristics of cockers. So it has to look right.

Initially I lay down triangles of clay, then twist and layer them till the proper effect is achieved.  I am using a different kind of clay for the hair, it is a much softer clay that is easy to shape and generally nice to work with.  The reddish clay is much stiffer, and requires warming first to soften it.  The stiffer clay is good for laying down the structure, as it stays fairly rigid at room temperature.  It can also hold detail better, but the fur does't need tiny detail.
