Toddlers and Dogs

We had a great time showing our artwork and meeting lots of great people at the Thousand Oaks Art Festival.  As usual, Play Bow is a hit with the dogs and little children.

We always have fun watching the little children as well as the dogs stop by to play with my bronze sculpture Play Bow.  It is the perfect size for them, and he always looks ready to play.

We are in the process of identifying a "tot-park" in the Los Angeles area where we can donate one of these sculptures, where the children can play with him.

My wife, Karen, is involved in the First5LA's Tot Parks and Trails program.  It's mission is to develop play spaces and playgrounds in under-served areas around L.A. county for children under 5 years of age.  One of her personal goals is to use these parks to help develop toddler's senses of touch, smell, sight and hearing, as well as be fun to play in.  Play Bow's fur is a perfect tactile stimulation for little hands!
